Founded in 1985, Mosler Automotive is a super car manufacturing company which is based in Florida, USA. The founder of the said car manufacturer is Warren Mosler. Mosler Automotive is considered as Consulier Industries and is now manufacturing the now-defunct Consulier GTP which renamed as the Mosler Intruder/Raptor. The renaming of their model happened when the company spun off its automotive division as the Mosler Automotive.
According to the Mosler Automotive’s history, A bond trader named Warren Mosler who managed a hedge fund with $5 billion started a company and named it as Consulier Industries and introduced the Consulier GTP which is a 2200 lb . mid-engine car powered by a mid-mounted turbo charged Chrysler 2.2 L engine producing 190 hp. Its chassis was made of fibre glass and foam monocone. Because of Mosler’s belief in the performance of the said model, he took the risk of offering $25, 000 to anyone who could drive another car brand and model around US racetrack that could run faster than his Consulier GTP. As an answer to his dare, Car and Driver took the challenge by racing a stock Chevrolet Corvette. The friendly competition was held at the Chrysler Proving Ground racetrack in Chelsea, Michigan. The race finished with 1:21:01 for Corvettes time and 1:22:56 for Consulier’s time, which means Corvette won the said race.
There were lots of issues and arguments after the race, but the bottom line is as new to the automotive industry as it is, Consulier has a really good quality since it can compete with the high end cars like the Chevrolet Corvette.
As Mosler Automotive Company grew, they also thought of having a visual representation of their cars and their company, which is referred to as the Mosler Logo. Just like other car logos, Mosler logo was designed according to the name of their company. Mosler logo comes in an artistically made capital letter “M” with a yellow or gold lining around it. Car logos represent the whole company as well as its models. That is the reason why car logos should be planned and designed well.
