It was one of the largest independent corporations that managed to stand until the present time. It uses the same car logo until now, which is known to the public as the “Daewoo Logo”. Daewoo Plans to Sell Cars in U.S.: Daewoo Motors Corp. of South Korea will begin selling cars in the U.S. in late 1997 or early 1998, Chairman Kim Woo-Choong said. Daewoo plans to sell 100,000 vehicles a year in the U.S. by 2000, Kim said. Daewoo Motors, a unit of Daewoo Group, plans to introduce a small car and sell it directly to consumers rather than using dealerships. Direct-sales offices resemble car dealerships but are company-owned. Consumer’s order vehicles directly from the company.

In the midst of their successful days, they were treated as the highest earning company in South Korean government in financial and in political aspects. Because of this, they gained control in the said county since this company became very influential. In 1982, its name was changed from Daewoo Group to Daewoo Motor Co. They had lots of car designs and versions like the Royale Series (Royale XQ, Royale Duke, Royal Prnce and Royal Salon Super).
